IVR, Interactive Voice Response, allows callers to interact with a computer over a telephone. This telephone system processes inbound phone calls, plays recorded messages, and reads data from the Case Management System to the caller. IVR can route calls to other offices and speak to the caller in different languages. All these activities are performed automatically, without the aid of the office staff.
The PCSS IVR system can handle multiple lines, providing answers to questions about hearing dates, payments balances, and more. Callers can learn the dates and times of hearings, the location of the court, find out balances, and even make payments over the telephone.
When a court chooses the PCSS IVR solution, the process starts with a script design, which flowcharts the process from the initial call, through the questions and responses, to the final call termination. We work with the court to obtain any necessary hardware and ensure the entire system functions as expected, from start to finish.
Once the IVR system is configured and installed, the system requires little maintenance. Callers will be able to access information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with minimal intervention from the court.
The PCSS IVR software interfaces with the existing JEMS/PAS database, allowing courts to leverage existing phone line infrastructure. Moreover, the PCSS IVR software can be customized to meet the needs of individual courts. Courts work with PCSS developers to design their own system from the ground up, determining what information will be available and who may access it.
